The Mission at StemExpress is to accelerate the cure and prevention of significant medical conditions at life-changing speed. In 2010, the company was created to expedite research and clinical trials through the implementation of our own stem cell collection centers and state-of-the-art cell manufacturing laboratories. We support medical research, gene therapies and clinical trials by collecting human bone marrow and blood cells from our donors and sending to our clients. We provide expediency from order to delivery and guarantee every sample arrives with the highest purity, viability, and quality that researchers need to ensure confidence in their results. By shortening the time it takes to collect samples or isolate primary cells, we can help reduce months, and even years off a project. The Role

The StemExpress Business Development team is driven to translate business goals into StemExpress deliverables. This team excels at quoting, closing sales, project development and client relationship activities so researchers around the world are educated and have access to StemExpress products and services. The Regional Sales Representative II is an intermediate level position responsible for driving new and existing business within their territory. They will meet sales objectives and satisfy customer needs by educating and selling the StemExpress product line and services to research facilities, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and other targeted institutions.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for direct sales of company's products and services into a specified geographic area.
  • Effectively manage all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Apply working knowledge of Professional, Consultative, and Strategic Selling skills to develop incremental business in existing accounts.
  • Conduct cold calls to develop new accounts.
  • Demonstrated record of meeting and/or exceeding account and/or territory sales quota.
  • Develops a business plan for each major account; monitors and reports progress regularly and advises Regional Sales Manager of results.
  • Attend various trade shows and assist in booth staffing (virtual and nonvirtual shows).
  • Work extensively with Salesforce.com CRM to manage customer account base and qualify sales leads, answer inquiries and maintain accurate records of activities.
  • Provide feedback and interact on a frequent basis with Regional Sales Manager, Client Services Team, Collection Center staff, and Production Planning.
  • Manage pricing within territory to control profitability, experience in negotiation and large project proposals.
  • Awareness of competitor and industry activity.
  • Stay informed of client's preferred supplier status and how to position StemExpress as a preferred supplier.

This position will not have any direct reports

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree, plus 5+ years in life science consultative sales
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Google Apps, Salesforce, and the internet
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license, proof of automobile insurance and current registration

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS/MA degree in related field
